About Heritage School of Midwifery
Empowering Future Midwives
At the Heritage School of Midwifery (HSM), we are deeply committed to preserving and passing on the rich traditions of midwifery to the next generation. For us, midwifery is more than a profession—it is a calling, a culture, and a labor of love. We welcome those who share our passion for childbirth to join us in learning both the art and science of midwifery.
Founded in 2017, HSM offers a comprehensive 3-year program that blends academic instruction with immersive clinical experience. Students begin by observing and progressively take on more responsibility, eventually assisting a Florida Licensed Midwife with prenatal, birth, and postpartum care. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates receive a diploma and are eligible to sit for the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) exam, leading to licensure as a Florida Licensed Midwife (LM) and certification as a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM).
